Privacy policy

How Aqera collects, uses and protects personal information, and how to contact us about your privacy.

Who this covers

This policy explains how Aqera collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information on this website and when you contact us. It applies to the Aqera Advisory website (aqera.com.au) and the AqeraOne website (aqeraone.com), and to the enquiries, emails and calls that follow from them. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

When an organisation uses AqeraOne as a customer, the information it puts into the platform is governed by its agreement with us, under which we handle it on that organisation’s behalf. This policy does not replace that agreement.

What we collect

When you contact us. If you use the contact form we collect the details you enter: your name, work email, organisation, role, the area you are interested in, and your message. We also keep the address of the site you used. If you email or phone us, we keep what you tell us and the contact details you use.

When you visit. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, receives your IP address and standard technical details such as the page requested and your browser type. This is needed to deliver the site and to protect it from attacks. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on either site, and our pages set no cookies and keep nothing in your browser.

We do not ask for sensitive information through the website. Please do not put it in the contact form.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry, arrange a demonstration and discuss our software and services.
  • To keep a record of our dealings with you, and to improve how we respond to enquiries.
  • To keep our websites secure and working.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. We do not make decisions about people using computer programs that significantly affect them.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run the websites and our business, and only as needed for that purpose. They include:

  • Cloudflare, which hosts and secures both websites and routes our email, including messages sent from the contact form to our team.
  • Google Fonts, which supplies the typeface our pages use. When a page loads, your browser requests the font from Google, which receives your IP address.
  • Our email and office-software providers, which store the messages we receive.

We may also disclose personal information where the law requires it.

Where it is held

Our providers operate global networks, so personal information may be stored or processed outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure our providers handle it in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as we need them to deal with your request and our ongoing relationship with you, and for business records. When we no longer need them, we delete or de-identify them.

Keeping it safe

Both websites are served over encrypted connections. Enquiries are delivered only to our own mailbox. Access to that mailbox is limited to authorised people. If we become aware of a data breach likely to cause serious harm, we will assess it promptly and notify the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you. Email info@aqera.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are first.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, email us at info@aqera.com.au and we will investigate and reply. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
